Job summary

YJM Apparel Group Inc. in New York, NY is seeking a Production Coordinator to support the production team from order placement through delivery.

You will track orders, maintain records, and ensure clear communication with factories, logistics, and internal stakeholders to keep schedules on track. The ideal candidate has 2–4 years in production or logistics, a degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field, strong Excel skills, and a proactive, detail-focused mindset in a fast-paced apparel

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in production, logistics, or supply chain coordination, preferably in apparel
• Bachelor’s degree preferred (equivalent experience considered)
• Experience with overseas factories or import/export processes a plus

Responsibilities

• Enter, update, and track purchase orders through all stages of production
• Maintain accurate production status reports and WIP trackers
• Monitor order timelines and flag potential delays
• Assist in maintaining production calendars across multiple factory partners
• Communicate with overseas factories to confirm order details, timelines, and shipping schedules
• Follow up on outstanding production updates, sample approvals, and documentation
• Support resolution of day-to-day production issues under guidance from the Production Manager
• Assist in coordinating quality control checkpoints and inspections
• Maintain organized records of POs, invoices, packing lists, and shipping documents
• Help track quality issues or discrepancies for review
• Coordinate with logistics on shipment bookings, container tracking, and delivery timelines
• Reconcile shipping and production data against POs and invoices
• Identify and elevate past-due or at-risk shipments
• Support sales, merchandising, and logistics teams with production status updates
• Assist in preparing weekly/monthly production and shipping reports
• Provide general administrative and data support to the production team
