Sweet Apparel Inc. is seeking a full-time Product Developer to join the design team on-site at our Midtown Manhattan office. You will manage fabric yardage, color palettes, and supplier communications to support licensed product development.

The role requires strong Excel skills, garment construction knowledge, and excellent organization. This is an on-site position with growth opportunities within a global fashion manufacturer.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of apparel product development with licensed product.
• Knowledge of garment construction required.
• Strong Excel skills; PLM experience preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; teamwork and multitasking.

Responsabilités

• Manage fabric sample yardage WIP reports daily and inform teams of changes.
• Communicate new fabric and color mini batches; distribute seasonal color palettes.
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and overseas office on materials.
• Populate seasonal fabric cards and design boards with design.
• Distribute confirmed palettes internally and to supply chains overseas.
• Review sample yardage against color standards and request lab-dips as needed.
• Review invoices related to sample yardage seasonally.
• Maintain PD organization: binders, logs, and palette distribution.

Sweet Apparel Inc. is a leader in Juniors', Women's, Men's, and Kids' fast fashion apparel. Sweet Apparel designs, manufactures, and imports apparel under its own labels as well as multiple Private labels. Our clothing can be found at major retailers including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Ross, Macy's, and more.

We are growing and looking for a full-time, Product Developer to join the design team on-site at the Midtown Manhattan office!

Please note: this is an on-site position in Midtown Manhattan where we work in office 5 days/week!

Key Responsibilities

• Manage fabric sample yardage WIP reports daily and keep relevant teams informed of any changes
• Execute, update and manage the communication of all new fabric and color mini batch inquiries and distribute seasonal color palette
• Follow through communication with supplier/vendors and overseas office on materials adopted for development (such as sample yardage guidelines, fabric detail sheets, traceability and pattern copyrights)
• Work with design to populate seasonal fabric cards for design boards
• Distribute confirmed seasonal color palettes internally, overseas office and external supply chains
• Review all sample yardage cuttings received against color standards. Request lab-dips on any colors not executed correctly on initial sample yardage
• Review all invoices related to sample yardage development at the end of each season
• PD organization: This includes but is not limited to maintaining sample yardage seasonal binders and boards, tracking and logging in sample yardage references and managing incoming/outgoing color palette distribution

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in apparel product development with licensed product
• Knowledge of garment construction required
• Strong skill set in Excel required; experience with PLM preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong sense of teamwork and ability to multitask
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills

Target compensation for this role starts at $75k dependent on experience
