New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking an APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a float position across Nassau/Queens locations. Schedule includes 5/8.5 hour shifts, Monday-Friday.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, coordinated oncology/hematology care, and collaboration with the care team to optimize patient outcomes.

Licensure as APRN or PA is required; prior oncology/hematology experience is helpful. Salary is competitive with extensive benefits.

Job Description

APP - Nurse Practitioner | Physician Assistant - Float

Float locations: Nassau/Queens

Monday-Friday 5/8.5 hour shifts

In This Role, You Will

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

We Require

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed. Required Hospitals: - Winthrop Hospital - St. Francis Hospital - Long Island Jewish Hospital - North Shore University Hospital

Salary up to $165,000/year based on experience.
