Job summary

New York Cancer and Blood Specialists seeks an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join as a float, delivering oncology/hematology care across multiple New York locations. You will assess patients, develop care plans, and collaborate with the team to manage perioperative and postoperative care.

Requirements include NP/PA licensure and 1+ year oncology/hematology experience (preferred). EMR proficiency and reliable transport to all sites are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN or PA licensure.
• At least 1 year oncology/hematology experience (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience a plus.
• Reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

Float locations: Smithtown, & Port Jefferson

Monday-Friday 4/10s hour shifts (Wed RDO)

In This Role, You Will

We Require

• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.

Salary up to $165,000/year based on experience.
