Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking an APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to float among Suffolk/Nassau locations. Monday-Friday, 5/8.5 hour shifts, with patient-centered, multidisciplinary oncology/hematology care.

The role emphasizes comprehensive assessments, care planning, and coordination across sites to deliver high-quality, accessible care close to home. We offer competitive salary up to $165,000/year plus strong benefits and opportunities to impact patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Licensure (APRN) or Physician Assistant license.
• At least one year of Oncology/Hematology experience (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with state and federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.
