New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) seeks an APP—Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join our float team serving Nassau/Queens locations. Monday–Friday, 5–8.5 hour shifts.

Join a patient-centered, expert team delivering cutting-edge cancer care close to home. APRNs/PAs with oncology experience and EMR skills are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Required graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN Licensure or Physician Assistant license.
• At least 1 year of Oncology/Hematology experience (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in line with state and federal regulations and nursing standards.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and the patient experience.

In this role, you will:

We require:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.
