Job summary

New York Cancer & Blood Specialists (NYCBS) is seeking an experienced APN/PA to support float assignments across Smithtown and Port Jefferson. You will provide oncology/hematology care, manage patient problems, and coordinate treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires graduation from an accredited NP or PA program, current APRN or PA licensure, and at least one year in Oncology/Hematology. EMR proficiency and reliable travel to all sites are a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current APRN licensure or Physician Assistant license.
• At least one year of Oncology/Hematology experience (preferred).
• Strong computer skills; EMR experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems and coordinate care for Oncology/Hematology patients in alignment with State and Federal regulations and nursing standards of care.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to prepare patients preoperatively and manage postoperative clinical care.
• Deliver patient-centered care focused on improving outcomes and enhancing the patient experience.

We Require

• Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) Licensure or Physician Assistant License.
• At least one (1) year of experience in Oncology/Hematology (helpful but not required).
• Strong computer skills; experience with EMR is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation to travel to all locations listed.
