Job summary

Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants – Springfield, IL is recruiting a General Cardiology Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner to join our cardiology team. The role focuses on patient care across the continuum in a fast-paced clinic, collaborating with cardiology physicians and staff to deliver high-quality heart care.

The position requires an Illinois APRN license, board certification or eligibility, and preferred experience in cardiology.

Qualifications

  • Illinois APRN license required.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
  • Experience in Cardiology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cardiology patient care in general cardiology clinics.
  • Collaborate with physicians and care teams to coordinate care.
  • Document patient interactions in the EPIC EMR system.

Education

Master’s degree in Nursing
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing + 5 years relevant experience may be considered
Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred

Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants is recruiting a General Cardiology Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner in Springfield, IL. Prairie Cardiovascular Consultants works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Position Requirements
  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility
  • Experience in Cardiology is preferred
Position Details
  • Monday - Friday weekly schedule
  • Rotating call
  • EPIC EMR

Education Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Nursing is required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing PLUS 5 years relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Doctoral degree in Nursing is preferred.
Experience Qualifications
  • Experience in management of patients across the care continuum preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
  • Licensed in the state of practice as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is required.
  • Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services (WDSPS) or
  • Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
  • Board certification from the National Certification Corporation is preferred.
  • Controlled Substance license in state of practice is preferred.
  • Federal DEA license is preferred.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is preferred.
