Job summary

The City of Cleveland is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead application development and technical support efforts within the Data Processing Organization. You will oversee development, databases, standards, and end-user support, guiding staff to optimize schedules, budgets, and technical excellence.

You will maintain close contact with customer representatives, ensure problem visibility, and drive staffing and project delivery to meet organizational objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computers, Information Processing, or related field required.
• Three years IT experience required with server and network proficiency.
• MSCE or CCNA preferred but not required; strong Windows and Enterprise software knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and manage technical aspects of a major section of the Data Processing Organization.
• Direct staff for design, development, implementation, and maintenance of MIS.
• Maintain status reports for progress and visibility to customers and management.
• Coordinate recruitment efforts and staff changes as needed.
