Job summary

Motion Industries seeks a Cloud Engineer (API Management) to design, implement, and maintain robust API ecosystems using Google Cloud's Apigee platform and API Marketplace technologies. You will bridge backend services and consumer apps, ensuring secure, scalable APIs with high availability.

Responsibilities include API proxies, marketplace discovery, CI/CD automation (Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins), security (OAuth2/OIDC/JWT), and collaboration on OpenAPI specs and integration patterns.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of cloud engineering experience focused on API gateway/management.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform and Apigee.
• Experience setting up or managing an API marketplace or developer portal.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Crossplane, or Pulumi.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and microservices patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API proxies and security policies with Apigee.
• Manage API Marketplace platforms for discovery and docs.
• Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools.
• Maintain API security posture with OAuth2, OIDC, and TLS.
• Monitor performance, latency, and errors; configure alerts and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with application teams to define API contracts and transformations.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and developer portal content.
