Job summary

ITAC Solutions seeks a Cloud Engineer to shape the API ecosystem powering secure, scalable interactions between backend systems and everyday applications. You will design proxies in Apigee, manage API marketplace platforms, and automate CI/CD with IaC tools, ensuring robust security and reliable delivery.

The role requires hands-on Apigee experience and expertise in API security protocols, plus collaboration with engineering teams to implement best practices across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on experience with Google Cloud’s Apigee platform specifically.
• Experience setting up or managing an API Marketplace or Developer Portal.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools like Crossplane, Terraform, or Pulumi.
• Expert‑level command of API security standards, including OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, and TLS.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure API proxies, security policies, and traffic rules in Apigee.
• Manage API Marketplace platforms for discovery and developer self-service.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Implement threat protection, rate limiting, and encryption standards.
• Monitor API performance and troubleshoot issues across distributed systems.
• Partner with application teams on API contracts and architectural best practices.
• Maintain technical documentation, including API specs and portal content.
