Job summary

Veriipro is seeking an experienced Apigee Developer to design, build, secure, and manage APIs that support enterprise integration and digital transformation initiatives.

You will design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge/X, implement security standards (OAuth2/JWT), and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable API platforms in a Google Cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of API development and integration experience.
• Strong hands-on Apigee (Edge or X) experience.
• Knowledge of RESTful API design and API security standards.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge/X.
• Build and manage API proxies, policies, and shared flows.
• Implement API security standards including OAuth2.0, JWT, API keys, and rate limiting.
• API lifecycle management: design, versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring.
• Integrate backend systems (REST, SOAP, microservices, databases).
• Configure traffic management policies such as spike arrest, quota, caching, and throttling.
• Monitor API performance using Apigee analytics and logging tools.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams.
• Troubleshoot and resolve API runtime issues.
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards.

We are seeking an experienced Apigee Developer with strong expertise in API design, development, and management using Apigee platform (Google Cloud API Management). The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, securing, and maintaining APIs that support enterprise integration and digital transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee Edge / Apigee X
• Build and manage API proxies, policies, and shared flows
• Implement API security standards including OAuth2.0, JWT, API keys, and rate limiting
• Work on API lifecycle management (design, versioning, testing, deployment, monitoring)
• Integrate backend systems (REST, SOAP, microservices, databases)
• Configure traffic management policies such as spike arrest, quota, caching, and throttling
• Monitor API performance using Apigee analytics and logging tools
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, and DevOps teams
• Troubleshoot and resolve API runtime issues
• Ensure adherence to enterprise security and compliance standards

Required Skills & Experience

• 3–7 years of experience in API development and integration
• Strong hands‑on experience with Apigee (Edge or X)
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles
• Experience with JSON, XML, OAuth, OpenAPI/Swagger specifications
• Knowledge of API security standards and authentication mechanisms
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for API deployment
• Strong debugging and performance tuning skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience with microservices architecture
• Knowledge of Kubernetes and containerized deployments
• Scripting experience (JavaScript, Python, or Java)
• Familiarity with logging/monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK, Prometheus)
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns

Education
