Job summary

Travelport is hiring an API Engineering Lead in the United States to guide architecture and design for travel platforms, APIs, and services supporting shopping, booking, and servicing.

Under the Technical Director, you will review solution architectures, mentor engineers, and drive alignment on cloud, security, and resilience while partnering with product and architecture teams to shape the technical direction.

How you’ll make an impact:

The team delivers platforms, APIs and services supporting shopping, booking, fulfillment, servicing and travel retailing. Working under a Technical Director, the Technical Lead acts as a trusted technology advisor, providing design governance, architecture reviews and travel domain expertise across strategic initiatives.

Your role in action:

Reviewing solution architectures, APIs, integrations and technical designs

Someone with: experience leading technical reviews; strong travel industry domain knowledge; experience with Java, APIs, distributed systems, AWS and Kubernetes; ability to mentor engineers; strong communication and stakeholder management skills; understanding of security, scalability, resilience and software quality principles.
