Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks a qualified engineer to support department processes and daily operations in a GMP setting. You will help qualify and optimize equipment, drive process improvements, and mentor team members while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a bachelor’s or equivalent in engineering/science, with GMP experience and flexibility to support a 24/7 operation. Training, career growth, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or relevant technical field of study from an accredited university required
• Associate’s Degree with six (6) years of relevant GMP experience required
• High School Diploma with eight (8) years of GMP experience required
• Minimum four (4) years of engineering or technical experience in GMP environment required
• CLEAN 1Star Certified required
• Knowledge of FDA/authorities requirements preferred
• Ability to network and facilitate cross-organizational knowledge sharing preferred
• Experience with Process Control Systems preferred
• Experience with design of requirements documents preferred
• Functional knowledge across track with expertise in one or more operation required
• Support for a 24/7 operation required

Responsibilities

• Support the area through process knowledge sharing, critical decision making and strategy
• Drive equipment qualification and optimization, validate equipment and processes
• Coach and mentor team members
• Drive process monitoring for key parameters and track initiatives
• Coordinate interfaces to other processes and support systems
• Foster collaboration between site stakeholders
• Transfer knowledge from other Novo Nordisk production sites
• Own personal development with manager to outline career path
• Generate improvement concepts and implement across track
• Follow safety and environmental requirements
• Perform other duties as assigned
