Job summary

UFCU is seeking a Manager, API Platform Engineering to lead a hands‑on, player‑coach team delivering UFCU’s enterprise API layer, integrations, and microservices. You will drive architecture reviews, governance, and platform standards while aligning with security and compliance needs.

You will oversee API lifecycle, design standards, and runtime monitoring on MuleSoft and cloud platforms, with a focus on reliability, scale, and business impact.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering teams with delivery accountability and coaching.
• Proven experience delivering APIs, integrations, and microservices in production.
• Strong background in C#/.NET and cloud-based platforms (Azure).
• Hands-on with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for API management.
• Demonstrated ability to establish reference architectures, standards, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead an API/Integration and Microservices team delivering enterprise services.
• Provide architecture reviews, design guidance, and sign-off for APIs, integrations, and services.
• Own API platform roadmap, standards, versioning, and deprecation policies.
• Guide MuleSoft delivery, policy enforcement, and runtime monitoring.
• Lead enterprise microservices effort using C#/.NET, Kubernetes, and Azure.
• Ensure production reliability with incident response, runbooks, and postmortems.
• Embed security/compliance into engineering with risk partners, audits, and controls.
• Enable internal teams and vendors via an enterprise service catalog and onboarding docs.
• Manage delivery execution, Agile planning, and contractor augmentation.
