Job summary

University Federal Credit Union seeks a Manager, API Platform Engineering to lead a technical team delivering UFCU's API platform, integrations, and enterprise microservices used by internal apps, AI initiatives, and partners.

Reporting to the Director of Platform Engineering, this hands-on leader blends people management with architecture accountability, overseeing governance, design standards, and 24/7 operational readiness in a hybrid role 2-3 days on-site at UFCU Plaza.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Proven track record delivering enterprise APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
• Strong experience with Kubernetes and Azure.
• Security/compliance mindset for regulated environments.
• Ability to operate in a hybrid, Austin-based role.

Responsibilities

• Lead API/Integration and Microservices engineering teams.
• Provide architecture reviews and technical design guidance.
• Governance of API platform, standards, and lifecycle.
• Guide MuleSoft platform delivery and operations.
• Oversee CI/CD, testing, and observability.
• Maintain production reliability and incident response.
