Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. invites applications for a Software Engineer III to join the Consumer & Community Banking API Marketplace team. You will help design, build, and enhance the API platform used by developers, with an agile team tackling complex challenges across disciplines.

You will contribute to secure, scalable production code, mentor teammates, and drive decisions shaping product design, operations, and governance. A strong emphasis on cloud, AI/ML, and end-to-end API quality is required.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts plus 3+ years of experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST, microservices, RDBMS and NoSQL databases, cloud-native development, Agile, DevOps, and TDD.
• Recent AWS experience and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API platforms and end-to-end API stack, including security, authentication, and governance.
• Advanced knowledge in cloud, AI/ML, or mobile disciplines.
• Ability to solve design and functionality issues independently with minimal oversight.
• Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
