Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Software Engineer for its Consumer and Community Banking API Marketplace. You will contribute to agile teams delivering trusted, market-leading services using Java 8+ and Spring Boot in cloud-native environments. You’ll participate in SDLC governance, design systems, and code reviews while mentoring junior developers.

The role emphasizes production-grade coding, secure software practices, and rapid iteration to meet evolving requirements across multiple technologies.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, with 3+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced skills in one or more programming languages, including Java 8+ for distributed application development, REST, microservices, and Spring Boot.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications (e.g., AWS, GCP, private cloud).
• Familiarity with modern SDLC practices such as Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Continuous Deployment.
• Experience with design systems and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and ensuring operational stability.
• Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
