Salesforce seeks a Field Specialist, API Monetization to align technical teams with AEs and close API-based deals. You will own technical discussions, size deals using a forecasting model, and translate usage into value for customers.

You’ll partner across pricing and product, ensure accurate rate cards, and help evolve our API packaging while building repeatable playbooks for faster, trusted engagements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in a technical or pricing role.
• Deep fluency in APIs, rate limits, and usage-based pricing.
• Ability to size deals with a forecasting model.
• Proven track record partnering with sales on complex deals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with AEs on API-related deals and usage scenarios.
• Explain API mechanics and usage patterns to technical and business stakeholders.
• Use the forecasting calculator to size deals and justify spend.
• Identify accounts with strong API opportunity based on usage.
• Meet with customers' technical teams to scope requirements.
• Keep rate-card and calculator updated as products evolve.
• Share field learnings to influence product and pricing.
• Create playbooks to enable self-serve for simpler deals.
