Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Petersburg, VA seeks an API manufacturing technician to operate highly automated production equipment and support GMP-compliant processes. You will manage inventories, follow SOPs, and participate in safety and deviation investigations.

The role requires a HS diploma (or GED) with 1 year of manufacturing experience or an Associate’s degree in engineering/science, plus strong computer literacy and problem-solving skills. Training provided and performance-based benefits offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 1 year manufacturing experience in chemical/pharma preferred
• In lieu of HS diploma, an Associate’s Degree in Engineering Technology or a Science-related field may be considered
• Computer literacy including MS Office and ability to read complex SOPs required
• Ability to perform basic material handling and read product documentation with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Operate API manufacturing equipment to meet production goals
• Maintain inventories and follow GMP/SOP instructions
• Assist in troubleshooting and maintenance of equipment
• Support environmental monitoring and clean room activities
• Follow Lock Out Tag Out safety procedures and use PPE
• Participate in deviation investigations and safety initiatives
• Load/unload materials and assist with start-up/shutdown procedures
