Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Petersburg, VA is hiring multiple Technicians to operate API manufacturing equipment and meet production goals. The role may start at Technician III level depending on experience, with a 4x10 day shift (M-Thursday) and a transition to a 2-2-3 rotating shift as operations move into full production in early 2027.

Hours are 0600–1630 with flexibility as needed. You will ensure safe operation, manage inventories, review GMP/SOPs, train staff, support deviations, and perform equipment

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED with manufacturing experience in chemical/pharma preferred.
• Ability to follow SOPs and raise issues when errors are found.
• Experience with safety guidelines and cGMP manufacturing standards.
• Strong problem-solving skills with data-driven troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot large-scale reactor unit operations under supervision.
• Follow GMP documentation, SOPs and JI to ensure product quality.
• Review batch records for compliance with SOPs and cGMP standards.
• Maintain inventories, train new employees and support deviations investigations.
• Load/unload materials and perform LOTO-related safety tasks as required.
