Job summary

Lilly in Lebanon, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Lead Operator to support startup activities and bring manufacturing equipment into service. The role requires travel to sites that currently produce APIs and on-the-floor leadership to drive production safely and with quality.

The position demands 3+ years of manufacturing experience, 2 years of leadership, GMP/chemical processing familiarity, and API experience. Expect a 12-hour rotating shift and potential after-hours support.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED.
• 3+ years of direct manufacturing experience; GMP/chemical processing preferred.
• 2 years of direct leadership/supervisory experience.
• API experience required.
• Authorized to work in the United States full-time.

Responsibilities

• Enforce compliance with safety, quality, and environmental requirements; escalate adverse events.
• Operate processes and equipment per batch records, manuals, design parameters, SOPs to meet production schedule.
• Provide on-the-floor leadership to make tactical day-to-day decisions and prioritize resources across the shift.
• Ensure daily monitoring, testing, and cleaning to maintain equipment and systems per regulations.
• Lead by example to promote safety culture and accountability across the team.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting and reactions to process upsets; escalate as needed.
• Follow procedures for safety event reporting, spill response, and Emergency Procedures.
