Job summary

Join Deloitte's AI & Engineering team as an Integration Engineer II, focusing on API development and integration tooling within a broad cloud and on-premise landscape. You will design end-to-end architectures, build backend services and APIs, and guide integration patterns across multiple environments to enable scalable, secure data exchanges.

You will collaborate across geographies with senior engineers, mentor junior developers, and travel up to 50% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field is required.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing integration solutions across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Experience with API design and development including RESTful services, SOAP, and GraphQL.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms/tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Workato, BizTalk, Boomi).
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and architectural styles.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end system architecture across frontend, backend, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure (Azure-based).
• Define integration standards and best practices to guide the development team.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python/JavaScript/TypeScript and integration tools.
• Manage SDLC, including CI/CD, testing, and deployment across environments (Dev, Test, UAT, Production).
• Mentor junior developers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows.
