Job summary

Deloitte France is seeking an Integration Engineer II with strong API development and integration tooling experience. You will design and implement end-to-end integration solutions across cloud and on-prem environments, working with MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, and other tools to ensure secure, scalable data exchange.

You will lead design efforts, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers while delivering complex integration programs with a product engineering approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or a related field.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with one or more modern programming languages for building backend services and APIs.
• Experience designing and implementing integration solutions across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of integration patterns and architectural styles (e.g., hub-and-spoke, ESB, iPaaS).
• Experience with API design, RESTful services, SOAP, and/or GraphQL.
• Knowledge of API security standards and versioning/balancing.
• Experience with enterprise integration platforms/tools (MuleSoft, Apigee, Kong, Workato, BizTalk, Boomi).
• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, deployment across Dev/Test/UAT/Production.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end system architecture spanning frontend, backend, integration layers, and cloud infrastructure.
• Define technical standards and integration design patterns to guide the team.
• Create and maintain architecture diagrams, data mappings, and design docs.
• Build backend services and APIs using Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, and Azure or other enterprise tools.
• Design, build, and integrate RESTful APIs connecting third-party and internal systems.
• Implement API security, versioning, throttling, and error handling.
• Manage SDLC across Test, UAT, Production environments.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide post-deployment support.
• Collaborate across teams to optimize data flows and adhere to best practices.
• Take ownership of projects and mentor junior developers.
