Job summary

Acuren is hiring for an API 510/570 certified inspector to perform visual and nondestructive examinations on pressure-retaining equipment at client sites in the Houston area. The role requires deep knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards and the ability to provide technical recommendations for repair or replacement to ensure safe operation.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of experience (or 2+ years on-site) and may also possess API 653 or CWI credentials.

Qualifications

Certification of API 510/570 is required.
5-10 years' experience or 2+ years on-site experience in relevant field.
API 653 or CWI is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
Experience supporting petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

Perform visual and nondestructive examination of pressure retaining equipment per API/ASME standards.
Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, or alteration of plant equipment.
Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
Comply with all safe work practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
Willingness to travel if needed.
