Job summary

Acuren is recruiting for temporary API 510/570 Inspectors for Turnaround/Outage/Project work across the United States. Assignments vary in duration based on project requirements and demand.

Inspectors perform visual and non-destructive exams of pressure-retaining equipment, report findings, and provide technical input on repairs and alterations, with opportunities to travel as needed. Candidates should hold API 510/570 certification, ASME knowledge, and have significant petrochemical experience;

Qualifications

• Certification of American Petroleum Institute Standards 510/570.
• 5–10 years’ experience or 2+ years on site experience.
• API 653 or CWI a plus.
• In-depth working knowledge of API 510/570 and ASME standards.
• Experience working in direct support of petrochemical facility engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual and non-destructive examination of pressure-retaining equipment per API and ASME standards.
• Submit technically accurate reports documenting equipment condition.
• Provide technical recommendations for repair, re-rate, replacement, and/or alteration of plant equipment.
• Provide technical input on welding and metallurgical issues.
• Provide guidance on non-destructive examination techniques and procedures.
• Comply with all safety practices and participate in site safety initiatives.
• Willingness to travel if needed.
