Job summary

Apave America Inc. is seeking API 510/570 Inspectors (local to Houston-Pasadena, TX) to support an upcoming TAR in October 2026. Responsibilities include visual inspections of pressure retaining equipment, preparing reports with findings and photos, and ensuring compliance with API/ASME/ASTM/ NFPA and OSHA.

Field work involves diverse industrial environments and safety emphasis. Applicants should have API 510/570 certifications, a high school diploma, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum of three (3) years' experience with API 510/570 certifications.
• API 653 certification would be considered an asset.
• NDT certifications MT/PT/UTT would be considered an asset.
• Valid Driver’s License and pre-employment drug and alcohol testing required.
• Pre-employment background checks required.
• Current Safety Training, Per Diem documents, and Fit Test required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pipelines, pressure vessels, and infrastructure for wear, corrosion, cracks, leaks or damage.
• Perform internal and external inspections per API 510/570 guidance.
• Prepare detailed reports with findings and photographic evidence.
• Identify risks and recommend repairs or maintenance to maintain safety and integrity.
• Supervise NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, UT) and interpret results.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with API, ASME, ASTM, NFPA and OSHA standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, maintenance teams, and contractors on inspection schedules and actions.
• Track equipment performance and propose improvements to inspection processes.
• Maintain certification and training to stay updated with industry practices.
