Job summary

Apex Energy Solutions is seeking a Field Technician to measure, install, and test products while instructing customers on proper usage. You will travel to homes or businesses to perform repairs, routine maintenance, and occasional administrative tasks.

The role requires strong technical and mechanical skills, experience with hand power tools and diagnostic tools, and the physical ability to lift heavy equipment. This position supports a newly launched market.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in the industry.
• Previous experience servicing windows and doors.
• Previous experience in exterior replacement products.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections and provide accurate measurements of doors and windows.
• Perform timely and quality repairs of customers’ products including screen installation, sash replacement, glass replacement, hardware replacement, and seal repairs.
• Coordinate required return visits and convey needed services, materials, and labor.
• Perform post-installation inspections.
• Anticipate and recommend solutions for obstacles that could impact customer expectations, job costs, or code performance.
• Promote company services.
• Maintain technical and mechanical skills.
• Perform administrative tasks such as scanning installer invoices, collecting customer payments, mailing payments, ensuring installers are ready for daily job sites, receiving materials, and product shipments.

Apex - Field Technician

As the Field Technician, you will measure, install, and test products and provide customers with instructions on proper usage. You will travel to customers’ homes or businesses to perform repairs and routine maintenance. You should have excellent technical and mechanical skills, experience with hand power tools and diagnostic tools, and be physically fit to lift heavy equipment. As the Field Technician in a newly launched market, you will also perform some administrative work.

Pay Rate: $27.00 - $29.00 per hour

• Travel within radius of GDIs locations.
