Job summary

RealAmerica is seeking an Apartment Property Manager for the Elkhart, IN community. The PM will maximize occupancy, manage expenses, collect rents, and ensure resident satisfaction, while meeting LIHTC, HUD, and market-rate compliance.

Required: college degree or equivalent affordable housing experience; certifications (NCP/NCP-E/C3P/HCCP/CAM) within 12 months; valid driver's license; proficiency in Yardi Voyager and MS Office; background check and drug screen will be conducted.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or commensurate Affordable Housing Property Management experience.
• NCP/NCP-E/C3P/HCCP/CAM attainable within 12 months of employment.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable private transportation.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Daily inspections of property to ensure upkeep and policy adherence.
• Demonstrate and lease apartments to prospective residents.
• Process lease applications, renewals, and terminations per LIHTC regulations.
• Develop tenant retention strategies to improve satisfaction and reduce turnover.
• Provide training and support to property staff to ensure smooth operation.
