Job summary

Adara Communities is seeking a dedicated Apartment Porter to join our Tampa Woods community. This role focuses on keeping common areas clean, assisting residents, and supporting daily operations to maintain a welcoming environment.

You will perform routine cleaning, help with light maintenance, manage trash disposal, and ensure safety while collaborating with maintenance and office teams. A valid license and reliable transport are required, with relocation optional for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Candidates must live within a 20-mile radius of the property or be willing to relocate.
• Previous porter, janitorial, or groundskeeping experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including hallways, lobbies, breezeways, and recreational spaces
• Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping down surfaces
• Collect, remove, and properly dispose of trash from designated areas throughout the community
• Keep outdoor areas clean by picking up litter, blowing debris, watering plants, and maintaining walkways
• Assist with light maintenance tasks such as changing bulbs, replacing air filters, and reporting needed repairs
• Support residents by offering courteous assistance when needed (e.g., package or furniture help)
• Monitor the community for safety hazards, maintenance needs, or security concerns and report promptly
• Follow all company policies and safety guidelines
• Work collaboratively with the maintenance and office teams to support daily operations

What You'll Do As An Apartment Porter

Working Environment

This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying items as part of daily porter responsibilities. Work is performed both indoors and within community common areas.

All employees must comply with the company's uniform policy, provided on the first day of employment.
