Job summary

MAA is seeking a skilled Painter to maintain and beautify interior and exterior surfaces across our properties in the Dallas area. You will prepare surfaces, repair drywall, select paints, apply finishing, and keep work areas clean. A valid driver's license and ability to travel between properties are required.

This role emphasizes safety, quality, and teamwork within our maintenance team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of interior and exterior painting experience.
• Knowledge of painting equipment and techniques.
• Ability to read instructions and complete standard paperwork.
• Must have valid driver’s license or ability to travel to multiple properties.

Responsibilities

• Receives work orders and transports equipment to site.
• Prepares surfaces and smooths with sandpaper or tools; removes old paint.
• Fills holes and washes surfaces before painting.
• Selects and mixes paints to achieve color/texture.
• Removes fixtures and may erect scaffolding or ladders.
• Applies paint to walls, ceilings, doors, baseboards, and other surfaces.
• Cleans up equipment and painted area after completion.
• Repairs sheetrock and cleans air vents as needed.
• Performs duties of other maintenance positions as needed.
