Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure vacant units meet quality standards and are turned to market-ready condition across stabilized garden‑style communities. The role involves completing repairs, caulking, drywall work, painting, and site maintenance while supporting safety policies and resident service.

Schedule: Tue–Fri 9–6 and Sat 8–5; on call required. Requires 1–2 years of experience, ability to lift up to 25 lbs solo and 50 lbs with help, and a flexible work schedule

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience
• Make-ready tasks for vacant units to meet quality standards
• Able to use basic hand and power tools safely
• Demonstrates customer service skills in interactions with residents

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in, following the make-ready checklist
• Caulk and seal around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers
• Inspect drywall for damage and repair/replace as needed
• Perform touch-up painting on vacant and occupied units
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities
• Support cost-control by using parts efficiently and avoiding waste
• Complete make-ready checklists and required maintenance documentation
• Adhere to safety policies and participate in safety training
• Provide responsive and respectful service to residents and staff
