Job summary

Venterra Realty is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartments for new residents by handling repairs, cleaning, and inspections. You will support the maintenance team and ensure units meet standards for resident satisfaction.

You will perform basic plumbing/electrical work, assist with painting and carpet cleaning, and help maintain curb appeal across communities within a ~25-mile radius. A valid driving record and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in make-ready, maintenance, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and appliance repairs.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple unit turns efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to company standards.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including on-call rotation.
• Clean motor vehicle record required.
• Lifting/carrying up to 75 lbs may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing repairs, cleaning, and ensuring all features work under the TQMR program.
• Perform basic maintenance tasks including light fixture replacements, minor plumbing, appliance checks, and drywall patching.
• Assist with painting, carpet cleaning, and exterior touch-ups to meet market-ready standards and manage supplies.
• Maintain property curb appeal and cleanliness of grounds, parking lots, breezeways, amenities, and common areas.
• Work independently while following standards and focusing on resident satisfaction.
• Provide emergency and on-call maintenance support as needed.
• Support team with other duties to maintain resident satisfaction and property standards.
• Daily travel to assigned communities within a ~25-mile radius.
