Job summary

CAF Management is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartments for new residents onsite. You’ll perform basic repairs, painting, cleaning, and inspections to ensure quality and a strong first impression of our communities.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who is handy, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in property management. Many of our maintenance leaders started in this position, with opportunities to advance.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic apartment repairs (painting, drywall, hardware).
• Ability to manage time and work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Availability to work Saturdays; Sundays off.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments by completing repairs, painting, and cleaning.
• Inspect units to ensure systems and appliances work.
• Replace fixtures, hardware, screens, locks, and blinds.
• Report major repairs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager.
• Support the maintenance team with curb appeal projects and minor work orders.
• Maintain make-ready timelines to support leasing goals.
• Keep make-ready area and supplies organized.
