Job summary

CAF Management - The Place is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare apartments for new residents. You will perform basic repairs, painting, and cleaning to meet our quality standards and support leasing goals.

This is a full-time onsite role offering a competitive hourly rate plus commission, with opportunities to grow into a full maintenance position within our community-focused company.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic apartment or home repairs (painting, drywall, hardware, etc.).
• Ability to manage time and complete tasks independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
• Availability to work Saturdays and maintain a flexible weekday schedule.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents by completing basic repairs, painting, and cleaning tasks
• Inspect units for quality and ensure all systems and appliances are working properly
• Replace light fixtures, hardware, screens, locks, blinds, and other standard items
• Report major repair needs to the Lead Maintenance Technician or Property Manager
• Support the maintenance team with curb appeal projects and minor work orders
• Ensure make-ready timelines are met to support leasing goals
• Maintain a clean and organized make-ready area and supply inventory
