Job summary

Core Group Resources is seeking a Make Ready Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes by performing repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to meet quality, safety, and cleanliness standards before move-in. The role covers plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliance repairs while delivering reliable customer service and coordinating with property management to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
1+ year of apartment maintenance or make-ready experience.
General knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting and carpentry repairs.
Ability to operate maintenance tools safely and troubleshoot issues.
Valid driver’s license is preferred.

Responsibilities

Complete all make-ready activities for vacant units within deadlines.
Perform repairs in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, flooring, and appliances.
Inspect units for deficiencies and address maintenance needs.
Replace/repair fixtures, doors, hardware; prep walls and paint interiors.
Install/repair flooring, countertops, cabinetry, and other components.
Ensure appliances are operational and areas are clean and organized.
Assist with preventive maintenance and service requests as needed.
Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines; communicate with supervisors about timelines.
