Job Title: Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician

We're hiring a Floating Apartment Maintenance Technician in Topeka, Kansas. This full-time, permanent position requires local travel, a valid driver's license, background check, and drug screening.

Qualifications:

• Apartment or residential maintenance experience
• EPA certification
• Knowledge of residential HVAC repair

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist local maintenance teams with make readies, work orders, and grounds maintenance
• Support various communities as needed, providing a versatile maintenance service

Schedule & Compensation:

Monday to Friday, 8AM-5PM, guaranteed 40 hours/week, no weekends. Pay: $26-$27/hour.

Key Duties:

• Complete work orders promptly
• Prepare units for new tenants
• Interior and exterior painting/staining
• Implement preventative maintenance
• Exterior structural repairs
• Manage emergency coverage via cell phone
• Snow removal and pool maintenance as applicable
• Housing inspection experience is a plus

Desired Experience:

• At least 2 years in maintenance or similar
• 6+ months in apartment maintenance
• Drywall, painting, carpentry skills
• Basic plumbing, electrical, appliance repair
• HVAC and boiler system knowledge preferred
• Water heater knowledge (electric and gas)
• Excellent customer service skills
• Basic safety training or willingness to complete it within 30 days
