MMS Group is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician in Newark, NJ. This full-time role focuses on maintaining apartment homes, exterior/interior spaces, and common areas. You will handle small repairs, flooring installation, and unit turnovers with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of residential maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and basic tools. Local travel and on-call rotation may be required; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance of residential apartment homes and common areas.
• Perform repairs to appliances, plumbing, electrical systems and fixtures.
• Install tile and laminate flooring.
• Participate in on-call emergency response per company policy.
• Manage turnover of empty units including basic repairs and touches.
• Perform other duties as assigned in the job description.
