Job summary

GPI Investment LLC in Irving, TX is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain apartment communities, ensure safety, and provide a clean living environment for residents. You will perform routine repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliances, and handle after-hours calls as needed.

The ideal candidate has maintenance experience in similar settings, basic trade knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and a customer-focused attitude to support residents and team

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance experience in apartments, hotels, or similar environments.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to resident satisfaction.
• Reliable transportation and on-call for emergenciesEPA Certification (a plus, not required)

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on apartment units, common areas, and building systems.
• Handle work orders promptly, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize issues and extend equipment life.
• Assist with unit turns, including painting, repairs, and cleaning to prepare for new residents.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and property policies.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in an organized manner.
• Respond to after-hours emergency calls as needed.
