Job summary

LR Management seeks a dependable Maintenance Technician to join Michigan’s fast-growing property management team. The role involves apartment maintenance, repairs, and preventative tasks to ensure high-quality living spaces for residents.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of maintenance experience, can lift 50 pounds, holds a high school diploma or GED, and can work weekends or be on-call. A valid driver’s license is required and extensive on-site collaboration is expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of verifiable general maintenance experience.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Applicants must be able to accommodate a flexible schedule, including weekends and the ability to be on-call.
• The ability to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Full maintenance of apartments prior to new residents moving in.
• Repairing and improving vacant and occupied apartments.
• Completing resident service requests in a timely manner.
• Accomplishing carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks.
• Performing preventative maintenance tasks.
• Conducting move in/move out inspections.
• Ensuring an adequate inventory level for required parts.
• Ensuring service shop is clean and organized.
• Assisting in the maintenance and cleanliness of the property’s indoor common areas.
• Maintaining well-groomed grounds and building exteriors including, but not limited, to trash pickup and snow removal.
• Adhering to established policies related to fair housing.
