Job summary

smcinternalcareers seeks a Service Technician in Maryland to diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and related systems. You will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventive maintenance on multiple asset types across the community.

Responsibilities include documentation, inventory management, responding to service requests, and contributing to safety and quality standards. On-call duties are required as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in maintenance related field.
• Successful completion of Basic Electric class offered at SMC internal training facility.
• Successful completion of all other basic maintenance classes offered internally and on-the-job training within one year of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Address, follow up and document service requests.
• Maintain inventory of adequate supplies.
• Perform preventive maintenance on fan coil and convector HVAC units.
• Complete additional preventive maintenance inspections as scheduled.
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled.
• Make repairs to grounds and drainage.
• Ensure all work and documentation comply with internal QC standards.
• Maintain personal supply of tools as designated by SMC's Tool Checklist.
• Address emergency maintenance as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor.
• Contribute to community and company engagement efforts.
