Job summary

Greystar Worldwide, LLC is seeking a Service Technician for The Crown of Queen City in Charlotte, NC. You will perform technical and mechanical work to ensure buildings and common areas meet safety and quality standards, with a schedule of Monday–Friday plus rotating on-call including weekends.

Essential duties include completing work orders, making-ready tasks for vacant units, managing materials, and maintaining grounds. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on the property size, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting work.
• Manages materials access by tracking inventory, returning unused items, and notifying the maintenance supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation to document and track service requests.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by trash removal, pressure-washing, cleaning, and painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools efficiently.
