Job summary

Millennium Towne Center Apartments in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to maintain the community and ensure a safe living environment for residents and staff.

You will perform general repairs, preventive maintenance, make-ready tasks, and grounds upkeep while coordinating with vendors and management. Strong HVAC and safety certifications are preferred, and a drug/background check will be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork.
• HVAC certified; CPO preferred; CAMT preferred; CAMT if requested.
• CFC/EPA certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and safety practices.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for record keeping.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate with residents on status of service requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain property and correct unsafe conditions immediately.
• Keep records for preventive maintenance, service requests, and expenditures.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule.
• Rake, sweep, shovel, and salt property grounds as needed.
• Change locks and keys as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work hours: 40+ hours weekly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call.
