Millennium Towne Center Apartments in Baton Rouge, LA is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician. The role involves general repairs, preventive maintenance, and ensuring a safe living environment for residents and staff. Requires 1+ year of related experience, own tools, and transportation for vendor parts.

HVAC, CFC/EPA, and CAMT certifications are preferred; expect 40+ hour weeks, evenings and weekends; benefits include health insurance, 401(k) with match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork.
• Interact professionally with prospects, residents, staff and management.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems, pools, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Applicants must furnish their own tools and have transportation to vendors.
• HVAC and CPO certifications preferred; CAMT preferred; EPA/CFC certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests promptly.
• Communicate status of service requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain property and correct unsafe conditions.
• Keep records for preventive maintenance, requests, expenditures, and make-ready status.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule.
• Perform grounds maintenance as needed (raking, sweeping, etc.).
• Change locks and keys; perform other duties as assigned.
