Job summary

MAA Wade Park in Raleigh, NC is seeking a hands-on Apartment Maintenance Technician to keep homes and common areas in top condition. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, appliances, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, while preparing units for move-in and following preventative maintenance schedules.

EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days) is required, as is a valid driver's license; strong problem-solving and customer-service

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Apartment Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The Apartment Maintenance Technician follows a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are complete.
