Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC units, electrical fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.

You will follow a preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare apartments for move-in, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units.
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete.
