Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician at our Daybreak community in Utah to maintain apartment homes and facilities. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues to keep properties in top condition.

Qualified applicants have EPA Type II or Universal certification (or willing to obtain within 90 days), 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance experience, and a valid Utah driver’s license.

Qualifications

• EPA Type II or EPA Universal certification required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to ensure apartments homes and facilities are in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in by diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, lighting fixtures, plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete.

Apartment Maintenance Technician

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.

Property Manager for an MAA Community leads all aspects of community life and above all – quality customer service. The Maintenance Supervisor leads and coordinates the maintenance team through repairs and maintenance of property facilities and apartments. Assistant Property Managers support the operations and financial performance of the community, handle the collections process, and assist with leasing. In other words, they wear several hats! An Apartment Maintenance Technician performs maintenance and repairs to ensure apartments and facilities are in top shape. A special role for an MAA community, a Leasing Consultant supports leasing operations, interactions and communication with residents, and assists with community events and marketing activities.
