Job summary

MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance and repair on apartment homes and property facilities. Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC units, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and locks, while preparing apartments for move-in and adhering to a preventative maintenance schedule.

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair.
• HVAC experience required.
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order.
• Prepare apartments for move-in; diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks.
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follow up with residents after repairs are complete.
