MAA is seeking an Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform general maintenance across apartment homes and property facilities. You’ll diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, while following a preventative maintenance schedule.

Prior multifamily or facility experience is preferred, plus EPA Type II or Universal certification and a valid driver’s license. The role offers opportunities for certification through our in-house programs and career

Formación

• 1–3 years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence

• Perform general maintenance and repair to keep apartment homes and property facilities in good working order
• Prepare apartments for move-in and diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC units
• Repair electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks
• Follow a planned preventative maintenance schedule and update residents after repairs

Apartment Maintenance Technician

The Apartment Maintenance Technician performs general maintenance and repair to ensure apartment homes and other property facilities are in good working order. Responsibilities include preparing apartments for move-in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units; electrical appliances, outlets, and light fixtures; plumbing, carpentry, and locks. The Apartment Maintenance Technician follows a planned preventative maintenance schedule and follows up with residents after repairs are complete.

Qualifications

• One to three years of experience in multifamily property management, facility maintenance, and/or mechanical repair
• HVAC experience required
• EPA Type II or EPA Universal required at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence
