Job summary

Preferred Apartment Communities is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our Nashville properties to perform daily and preventative maintenance on appliances, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems while delivering courteous service to residents.

Requirements include 1–3 years of maintenance experience, refrigeration certification, a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and willingness to work across multiple building areas. Competitive pay with comprehensive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in apartment communities.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and basic budgeting or business-finance understanding.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and preventative maintenance for the apartment community, including appliances, plumbing, HVAC, minor electrical, gate systems, pool operations, and all amenity areas.
• Complete resident maintenance work orders, enter and update service requests, and interact with residents professionally.
• Prepare vacant apartments for rent readiness through repairs and light cleaning.
• Maintain all common and amenity areas in clean, safe condition.
• Support the Maintenance Manager by monitoring contractor performance and adhering to budget.
